First Impressions are really important, so make it COUNT AND LAST!

It is important you plan your First Date well and put some thought in it.  Below are some tips to help you prepare for your first date:

Tips For Preparation For Your First Date

  • Know Your Date
From your conversations up until now you would have an idea what your date likes, for instance if your date mentioned a love of music, spend a few minutes learning more about music,it shows you’re interested in them as a person and helps you ask intelligent first date questions.
  • Choose The Right Location
Deciding what to do on a first date can be tricky. Unless you’re sure of your date’s preferences, it’s best to pick a neutral location. A bar or coffee shop, for instance, works much better for your first date than dinner and a movie… that way, if you realise early on that you don’t click, it’s easy to extricate yourself. Of course, if you do, you can always order another round.
  • Choose Your Outfit With Care To Nail That First Impression
I know, I know, don’t judge a book by its cover… but most of us still do. Which is why it’s important to dress up and find a first date outfit in which you feel comfortable – it lets your date know you value them enough to put in the effort. Ladies choose your makeup appropriately not too much or too little. Choose your footwear depending on the venue you do not want to wear silhouettes if you are going for an outdoor activity or wear trainers if you are going out for fine dining.
  • Safety First Especially For My Ladies
Your safety is of utmost importance. So, make sure that someone knows where and with whom you’re going out for the date.
  • Keep An Open Mind When You Go For You For First Date
Do not go with any preconceived notions about your date based on their profiles and photographs. Keep an open mind and you might be pleasantly surprised!

Having an eye contact can show your day you are confident person and you are actually interested in what they are saying. At the same time make sure you do not stare your date constantly, that will for sure freak them out. You want to keep the eye contact enough to show you are interested in your date. Researches show that the right amount of eye contact is about 7 to 10 seconds, meaning you engage eye contact with your date for 7-10 seconds after which you break the gaze; you look around, look out before re -engaging with eye contact.

Mind Your Manners

This is so important because your date will be observing everything you say or do. When speaking with the serving staff be polite and respectful, this is a small gesture but can say volumes about you as a person Gentlemen, this one’s for you.
